No-code website-to-app converter

Twinr is a no-code website-to-app builder that wraps an existing website in a native iOS and Android shell. It supports a wide range of platforms, including Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Magento and Webflow, as well as custom sites. It's a Canada-based hosted SaaS, and you configure the app in a web dashboard.

The output is a hybrid app: your live website renders in a WebView, wrapped in native navigation and augmented with native screens, push and analytics. You control what shows through hide-element rules and custom CSS and JavaScript, add a native tab bar and buttons, and can build fully native screens with a drag-and-drop element builder.

Because the storefront is a webview of your live site, checkout is your website's own web checkout rather than a native flow. A platform plugin (for Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Sharetribe) connects the store to drive event-triggered push and revenue tracking. Twinr is low cost and can handle app-store submission for you.

How apps are built

Apps are configured in a hosted dashboard, with no source code delivered. You start from a blank app or an e-commerce, news or restaurant template. The primary screens are your own web pages rendered in a WebView, and you customize what shows through hide-element rules, custom CSS and custom JavaScript, plus policies for how external URLs open.

Over the webview sits native chrome: a native bottom tab bar and navigation-bar buttons such as back, cart with a badge, share and notifications. For fully native screens, a drag-and-drop element builder offers titles, buttons, images, banners, lists, product lists, video, countdown timers and search, and native screens can be populated from a REST API. There is no app source code; deeper work is limited to injected CSS and JavaScript, native-screen configuration and a JS Bridge, with custom HTML blocks and custom API integrations gated to the top tier.

How it connects to your store

Twinr connects in two layers. For content, the app loads your live website in a WebView, so the catalog, product pages, cart and checkout are whatever the site serves, and site changes appear in the app in real time. For commerce events, a platform plugin (Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Sharetribe) links the store using an app token to drive event-triggered push (order created, status change, restock, low stock) and to track app revenue.

There is no native checkout: the native cart button navigates to your store's cart, and checkout proceeds in the webview using the website's own checkout. A documented JS Bridge lets website JavaScript trigger native features such as AdMob, language switching, the push token and the native share sheet.

Engagement and features

Twinr's value beyond the wrapper is retention tooling. Push notifications run through Firebase and are unlimited, with actionable, scheduled, personalized, welcome, inactivity and abandoned-cart types, in-app messaging, and user segmentation, though the more automated push types are gated to Premium and up. Multi-language auto-translation scales from one language on Basic to 136 on Premium.

Other features include in-app purchase for digital goods, Google AdMob, over-the-air updates, deep linking, app onboarding, and an in-app analytics dashboard covering sessions, retention, revenue and push performance. App-install banners and a floating QR widget can be embedded on the website to drive installs.

What it costs and who it's for

Twinr is among the cheapest options, on a session-based model. Basic is $25/month ($19 billed annually), Standard $85/month, Premium $125/month (the retention-critical tier, adding automated push, AdMob and 136 languages), and Enterprise from $599/month for high-traffic apps with custom integrations. Session add-ons stack on the base price at every tier, and there is a 14-day trial and no free plan. Shopify-connected apps must subscribe through Shopify billing.

It fits budget-conscious brands and agencies on Shopify, WooCommerce or other platforms that want a fast native wrapper for an existing storefront with strong push and retention tooling, and are comfortable with a webview core.

FAQs

Which platforms does Twinr support?+

A wide range: Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Magento, Webflow and custom sites. Because the storefront is a webview of your live site, basic conversion is largely platform-agnostic; deeper plugin hooks exist for Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Sharetribe.

Is it native or a webview?+

It's a hybrid. Your live website renders in a WebView, wrapped in native navigation, push and optional fully native screens built with a drag-and-drop editor.

How does checkout work?+

There is no native checkout. The cart button navigates to your store's cart, and checkout proceeds in the webview using your website's own checkout.

What do the store plugins do?+

The Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Sharetribe plugins connect the store to drive event-triggered push (order, restock, low stock) and to track app revenue; they don't replace the storefront.

How much does Twinr cost?+

Basic is $25/month ($19 annually), Standard $85, Premium $125 and Enterprise from $599, with session-based usage add-ons on top and a 14-day trial. Shopify-connected apps subscribe through Shopify billing.
