Shopney
A mobile app that converts more than your mobile site
Shopney is a no-code app builder for Shopify and Shopify Plus stores. It produces native iOS and Android apps, and its own team handles app-store submission and publishes update builds, so it sits between self-serve and fully managed. The product has been on the Shopify App Store since 2019.
You design the app in Shopney's dashboard with a drag-and-drop editor and 15 design element types, or use Shopney AI to auto-assemble a first version from your store content in one click and then edit it. There is no code layer: customization comes from a fixed set of themes (4 to 8 depending on plan), plus layouts, colors, fonts and showcases, rather than custom code.
Shopney is Shopify-only. It installs as a Shopify sales channel and syncs catalog and inventory in real time, and checkout is your own Shopify checkout presented inside the app, so your Shopify payment methods and discounts all work. Two things it's known for are unlimited push notifications on every plan and a built-in in-app chat.

How apps are built
You design the app in Shopney's web dashboard using a drag-and-drop editor: you drag design elements onto a canvas and fill them with store content such as products, collections and banners, with 15 element types available on every plan. Shopney AI can generate a first version of the app from your store content in one click, which you then edit in the same editor.
Customization is theme-based rather than code-based. The overall layout comes from a fixed set of Shopney themes (4 on Silver up to 8 on Platinum), plus control over colors, fonts, icons, navigation and showcases. There is no custom-code or source-access layer; deeper structural changes go through Shopney's team as Enterprise theme-customization requests. A preview app lets you test the in-progress app, including push and test orders, before launch.
How it connects to your store
Shopney installs from the Shopify App Store and runs as a Shopify sales channel, so products and collections must be added to the Shopney channel to appear in the app, and orders are attributed to that channel. Product, price and inventory data sync in real time.
Checkout is your own Shopify checkout presented inside the app, not a re-implemented native checkout, so Shopify Payments and third-party gateways (Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna, Afterpay and others), discounts, gift cards and Shopify Scripts all work as they do on the web. The web store's theme is not used; Shopify pages, metafields, videos and blog posts can be pulled into the app.
Engagement and support
Push notifications are unlimited on every plan, with rich, scheduled, welcome and back-in-stock types, abandoned-cart push from the Gold tier, and segmented, AI-generated and personalized push on Platinum and up. In-app campaigns add lightweight marketing automation, and a smart app banner promotes the app on the web store.
A distinctive feature is Shopney's built-in in-app chat: a native messaging tool where customers start conversations and the merchant replies from the dashboard, or routes chats to Shopify Inbox, Gorgias or Zendesk. Shopney lists 51 live integrations across reviews, loyalty, subscriptions, search and analytics, though many are tier-gated, with reviews and search from Gold and loyalty and subscriptions from Platinum.
What it costs and who it's for
Shopney is mid-priced with four tiers: Silver $149, Gold $299, Platinum $599 and Enterprise from $1,299 per month, each cheaper billed annually, with a 30-day free trial and no success fees. Several popular integrations, including loyalty, subscriptions and Klaviyo, sit on the Platinum tier, so the effective cost depends on which integrations you need.
It fits Shopify merchants who want a support-led, no-code path to a native app with strong push tooling and built-in chat, and who don't need custom code. Because it is Shopify-only, the app cannot move with you if you leave Shopify.

FAQs

Shopify and Shopify Plus only. Shopney installs as a Shopify sales channel; it does not support WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento.

Shopney's team handles app-store submission and publishes later update builds. You provide your own Apple Developer ($99/year) and Google Play ($25 one-time) accounts and grant Shopney access.
How does checkout work?+
Checkout is your own Shopify checkout shown inside the app, so all your Shopify payment methods, discounts and gift cards work. It is web checkout inside the app, not a separate native checkout.
Can I add custom code?+
No. Shopney has no code or source-access layer; customization comes from its themes, layouts and showcases. Deeper structural changes go through Shopney's team on the Enterprise tier.
