How apps are built

Reactiv offers two build paths, both managed. The AI Studio Agent is an AI-native builder: you describe what you want in natural language, such as a homepage promoting a spring collection with best sellers and a countdown, and the agent generates the blocks, sections and layout in native format, and can generate banner and hero images inside the builder. Reactiv describes it as performance-aware, drawing on Shopify catalog and order data plus in-app engagement metrics to suggest products and layout changes. A drag-and-drop Studio editor is used to fine-tune what the agent produces, with real-time preview and sync.

Code access is tier-gated. The base experience is no-code and done-for-you; the Plus plan adds a developer tool kit with an Ecommerce SDK, an Integrations SDK and a UI Kit for building custom features on the same foundation.

How it connects to your store

Reactiv installs as a Shopify app with broad data access across products, collections, customers, discounts, metaobjects and inventory. It renders the storefront natively over Shopify data rather than injecting the website through an iframe, and checkout completes inside the app through Apple Pay and Shop Pay on Shopify's own payment rails. When a merchant migrates from another app builder, Reactiv can push an update to existing users so they don't have to re-download.

Reactiv does not publish an exhaustive integrations list; named partners include Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo, Gorgias, Zendesk, LoyaltyLion and Rivo, and the Plus tier advertises unlimited integrations through its Integrations SDK.

App Clips and engagement

The defining feature is Apple App Clips: lightweight native experiences opened from an ad, link, SMS, QR code or NFC tag, used for launches, drops, VIP access, back-in-stock and retargeting, which can then transition a shopper into installing the full app. Notably, Reactiv can send push notifications to Clip users for a window after their session without a prior opt-in, targeting otherwise anonymous ad clicks. App Clips are an Apple technology, so this download-free flow is iOS-centric; Android gets the full native app.

Push notifications are otherwise unlimited, with abandoned-cart, back-in-stock, scheduled, geolocation, segmented and personalized types. Performance signals also feed the AI builder, and analytics run through Firebase and Reactiv's own data platform.

What it costs and who it's for

Reactiv is premium. Standard is $1,500/month (the drag-and-drop builder, iOS and Android apps, unlimited design components and integrations, and an app-exclusive catalog), and Plus is $4,999/month (adding the UI Kit, unlimited templates, the Ecommerce and Integrations SDKs and priority support), with enterprise options referenced. There is no free plan or public free trial.

It fits mid-market and enterprise Shopify brands that want a fully managed native app plus App Clips to capture and retarget ad or QR traffic, and can absorb premium monthly pricing.
