MageNative is a no-code app builder that turns a Shopify store into iOS and Android apps, operated by CedCommerce out of Lucknow, India. You configure the app from a dashboard, and MageNative's team assists with builds and app-store submission. It has been on the Shopify App Store since 2017.

The app is built from drag-and-drop design blocks and predefined themes, with most functionality toggled on or off per feature in the dashboard. There is no code or SDK layer; deeper or bespoke work goes through MageNative's team on the Custom plan. Design capacity is metered by plan, from 15 blocks on Starter up to unlimited on Premium.

MageNative is now marketed almost entirely for Shopify, with legacy Magento and WooCommerce versions under the CedCommerce brand that appear dormant. It syncs the store in real time and hands checkout off to Shopify's web checkout. It's one of the cheaper established options, and includes AR try-on and AI-generated push.

How apps are built

You configure the app from MageNative's dashboard using drag-and-drop design blocks and predefined themes, with a demo app to preview it before publishing. Most functionality, such as wishlist, RTL, multi-currency and language, social login, deep linking, a QR scanner, abandoned-cart campaigns and AR, is enabled per feature through on/off toggles rather than custom setup.

There is no SDK, custom-block framework or source-code delivery. Design capacity is metered by plan, from 15 design blocks on Starter to 25 on Standard and unlimited on Premium, and landing pages scale the same way. Anything bespoke, listed as custom integration, is delivered by MageNative's team on the Custom plan.

How it connects to your store

On Shopify, MageNative installs as a Shopify app and syncs collections, products and orders in real time, so store changes appear in the app automatically. Checkout hands off to Shopify's web checkout rendered in a secure webview rather than a native checkout, so any gateway that works on your Shopify checkout works in the app; the vendor also offers bespoke native integration of India-focused gateways such as Cashfree and Razorpay.

Loyalty, subscriptions and reviews are delivered through third-party integrations rather than built in. MageNative lists 32 integrations across reviews, loyalty, subscriptions, search, chat, delivery and translation. The legacy Magento and WooCommerce products connect through a server extension or a WordPress plugin, but both appear to be maintained at a low level at best.

Features and engagement

MageNative's engagement tooling centers on push and a few standout extras. Push notifications are instant, scheduled and segmented, with AI-generated copy (branded NotifyGenie) and abandoned-cart campaigns, though volume is metered: 5 sends a month on Starter, 50 on Standard and unlimited on Premium. An augmented-reality virtual try-on and 3D product placement is included, which is unusual at this price.

The storefront side covers wishlist, reorder, a native order view, AI product recommendations, app-only offers and a first-order discount pop-up, countdown timers and in-app video, plus WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger chat hooks. Analytics run through an in-app dashboard, with advanced analytics on the Premium plan.

What it costs and who it's for

MageNative is among the cheaper established builders. Plans are Starter $99, Standard $149 and Premium $249 per month, each cheaper billed annually, plus a quote-based Custom plan; there is a 30-day free trial and no revenue share. Apple's $99/year and Google's one-time $25 developer fees are yours. Note the low push allowance on Starter, so push-led marketing effectively needs Standard or Premium.

It fits budget-conscious Shopify merchants who want a supported, template-based native app, with AR and AI push, at a sub-$100 entry price.
