You build the app yourself in a web dashboard, and Apptile compiles it and handles app-store submission. How apps are built
The core build model is a visual editor of pre-configured tiles: you place tiles onto each screen and edit their content and logic through a property panel, starting from theme templates rather than a blank canvas. Apptile lists over 300 design tiles.
Sitting on top is Tile AI, which generates app components from a natural-language prompt or an uploaded screenshot and outputs editable React code you can refine in a built-in editor. Code access scales with tier: no-code editing and Tile AI are broadly available, while the Visual Dev Editor, Tile SDK and CLI, and a developer sandbox are gated to Enterprise. That developer platform, branded Tile, is what lets teams extend the app in code rather than only configuring blocks. A real-time QR preview lets you view the app on a device before launch.
How it connects to your store
Apptile installs as a Shopify app and lists real-time sync, so products, collections, orders and customer accounts surface in the app. Checkout is handled through Shopify: the storefront, product and cart experience is native, and checkout runs on Shopify's own checkout, so payments stay on Shopify infrastructure.
Installed Shopify apps for loyalty, subscriptions and reviews sync automatically where an Apptile integration exists. Multi-language, RTL and multi-currency are supported on all plans, and Shopify expansion-store support is an Enterprise item. Apptile lists 69 integrations, a mix of third-party Shopify apps and first-party Apptile add-ons; some premium connectors carry their own monthly fee.
Live selling and engagement
Live and video commerce is a defining feature. Apptile includes live video selling with multistreaming to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, shoppable video feeds, real-time comment sync, polls, giveaways and live tipping, with auctions and co-hosting on Enterprise. Live selling is metered: 50,000 viewer-minutes a month are included, then $3.99 per additional 1,000.
Push notifications are unlimited, with rich media, segmentation, scheduling and automated types (abandoned cart, back-in-stock, winback, welcome) and AI-assisted copy; automated notifications are a Plus-tier item. The storefront side adds app-only discounts, wishlist, pre-order, cart assist, and pickup and local delivery, with custom PDP and cart pages on the higher tiers.
